Dark Half Guides
An unusual RPG alternating between a hero and a dark lord. Follow each side's progression while managing Soul Power and preparing for ending-related decisions.
English translation of the existing Japanese guide. Japanese-release names and mechanics are retained; this is not a new gameplay verification or a claim of complete coverage.

🗺️ Follow Faruko and Rukyu through seven days
The story is divided into sections, with control switching between Faruko and Rukyu at each section's end. Soul Power returns to a set value when switching, so you can plan to spend it within that section. Early on, learning movement that avoids exhausting Soul Power matters more than combat itself. Both sides visit the same towns and regions from different positions, letting geographical knowledge carry across.

Soul Power falls with every step through fields and dungeons; reaching zero causes game over. Winning battles restores a little, but not enough to justify careless backtracking or extra movement caused by pitfalls. It returns to a set value at section end, so plan its use across each section. Saving can also limit depletion, making regular saves and shorter routes useful.

Fatia is the currency used for equipment, spellbooks, and healing. It has varied uses, including conversion into spellbooks, and directly affects access to important late-game items. At times, prioritizing a particular item can justify selling even equipment or spellbooks you hold. Continually weigh buying now against saving for later.
