At first, the focus is crafting at the workshop and introducing yourself to the townspeople. Start by collecting materials at nearby gathering sites and learning to make the basic items requested. Your timecrafting level grows through completing requests and repeated crafting, so doing a manageable number of these is the quickest approach. Getting used to the controls and reading the screens now makes the busier later stages easier to handle.

Timecrafting lets you process materials into other forms or disassemble items back into materials. To make a particular item, work backward to determine how to obtain its required materials. Materials you do not currently have can sometimes be obtained by disassembling another item. Keeping the connections between recipes and materials in mind expands your crafting options.

Materials can be collected at gathering sites or obtained by disassembling items you already have.
