GERMS: Nerawareta Machi Guides
A real-time, open-world exploration adventure in which a newspaper reporter returns home after 20 years and investigates the mutations spreading through town. Seamlessly travel on foot, by car, or by train through a town approximately 3km on each side. Time passes several times faster than real time as the encroaching contamination gradually expands. Infection, mutation, or defeat of the player character causes game over, making the central task approaching the truth while avoiding infection. It is known as a rough-edged cult oddity, with a setting colored by conspiracy-themed motifs such as free energy and crop circles.

Early game
Understand the town's layout, transport options, and infection risk

Solution: Choose transport by distance—walk nearby and use cars or trains farther away—and manage travel and time together
