Senkutsu Katsuryuu Taisen Chaos Seed Guides
Build caverns, manage energy flow and repel intruders. These guides explain room placement, resource management, creature support and the rhythm of each turn.
English translation of the existing Japanese guide. Japanese-release names and mechanics are retained; this is not a new gameplay verification or a claim of complete coverage.
Early game
Build a basic layout with uninterrupted qi flow
- ・Place rooms near the Dragon Furnace first
- ・Avoid too many facilities with heavy qi consumption
- ・Place delaying traps near entry points
Midgame
Balance resources and defense
- ・Maintain the ratio of qi-producing to defensive rooms
- ・Channel intruders into 1 main route
- ・Optimize placement before upgrading rooms
Late game
Build to withstand difficult invasions
- ・Create backup routes for multiple entrances
- ・Prepare concentrated-fire rooms for boss-class intruders
- ・Use surplus qi for healing to support long battles
Problem: Rooms cannot function because qi is insufficient
Cause: Consumption exceeds production
Solution: Temporarily stop expensive rooms and increase production rooms first
Problem: Intruders reach the main sanctuary
Cause: The delaying section is inadequate
Solution: Layer delaying trap rooms at corners to lengthen the approach
Problem: Late waves collapse your defenses
Cause: Firepower is concentrated on one route
Solution: Add a backup defensive line and distribute incoming pressure
🗺️ The cave-management cycle that advances scenarios
A 1-turn cycle broadly consists of Cave Mode and Tally Time. In Cave Mode, control the protagonist to dig, place facilities, and repel intruders. Tally Time settles energy and Sendan accumulated in rooms. Energy deposits into the Dragon Furnace are limited to once within each 1-turn cycle and have a cap, making consistent deposits fundamental. Depositing also restores the protagonist's and spirit beasts' HP/MP and grants new room and passage points.

Rooms have fire, earth, metal, water, or wood attributes determined by where and when they are dug. These attributes flow through passages as qi and form feng shui. Connections change incoming qi types and amounts, affecting which functions can be assigned. Plan passage routing and adjacency to create useful energy channels rather than digging blindly.

Production Rooms generate energy and Alchemy Rooms generate Sendan; weak output disrupts everything else. Excavation Rooms uncover items, while Storage Rooms store them and help expand the deposit cap. Detection Rooms locate intruders and exits, improving awareness. Build the cave's framework around these supply and information facilities first.
