📖 Panekit fundamentals: parts, physics, and controls
A beginner explanation of part combinations, physics-based behavior, and assigning controls.
Panekit — what should I check first in Basic systems?
Connect panels, motors, joints, and other parts to build vehicles. Parts serve different roles: framework, power sources, or joint-like movement. Combining these creates varied machines. Learn what each part does through hands-on experiments.
| Phase | Objective | Checklist |
|---|---|---|
| Early game | Learn assembly and control fundamentals |
|
| Midgame | Design vehicles that drive or fly reliably |
|
| Late game | Tackle difficult missions and refine free creations |

1. The vehicle immediately tips or rolls over when driven
Cause: The center of gravity is high, or weight is unbalanced across the front/back or sides
Solution: Lower heavy parts to bring down the center of gravity and add ground-contact support points for stability
2. It does not move in the intended direction, or controls are confusing
Cause: Motor rotation directions and input assignments are inconsistent
Solution: Review input settings and reassign buttons by function, such as forward movement and turning
3. You cannot meet the mission objective
Cause: Vehicle performance does not match the required speed, climbing, airtime, or other demands
Solution: Identify what is lacking and rebuild with power and parts specialized for that purpose

- ▸ Parts serve roles such as framework, power, and joints
- ▸ Connection position and orientation determine shape and movement
- ▸ Operate different parts to learn their roles
Assembled vehicles behave according to physics. Weight, center of gravity, and ground contact determine whether they run steadily or tip over. Do not judge completion by appearance alone: center-of-gravity height and front/back/side balance underpin predictable movement.
- ▸ A low center of gravity and balanced shape improve stability
- ▸ Heavy-part placement strongly affects behavior
- ▸ Test the vehicle to observe its physical behavior
Assign buttons to moving parts such as motors. Which buttons control forward motion, reverse, and turning strongly affects handling. Organizing inputs by movement function makes even complex machines less confusing.
- ▸ Assign control inputs to moving parts
- ▸ Organize buttons by actions such as forward motion and turning
- ▸ If handling is difficult, review and rebuild the assignments
