🗺️ An approach to exploring planet Gadulin
Ryu's journey is described as a search for a way home, suggesting that gathering information at towns and bases underpins progression. On reaching a new area, speak to residents for destinations and clues before leaving. Reportedly large dungeons make unclear goals and positions particularly confusing. Expand gradually around a base to reduce missed details and wasted travel. Start from established territory and make short scouting trips into unknown directions.

Alongside normal attacks, combat reportedly offers Yuugeki to respond to enemy attacks with counters and Soudan to negotiate. Choose according to enemy behavior and your objective instead of always trading blows. Soudan is thought to support shorter or more favorable encounters, making it worth considering when brute force fails. Effective commands vary by opponent; test responses rather than asserting one universal solution.

Check new towns' shops for improvements over current gear. More attack shortens fights and more defense reduces damage, especially useful in reportedly lengthy battles. With limited money, choose between faster kills through weapons and protection against sudden defeat through armor. Since replaced-equipment rules differ between games, choose sale or storage cautiously rather than assuming either is always appropriate.
