Everything is Crab / VERIFIED BUILD FRAMEWORK
Everything is Crab Build Guide — Evolution, Affinity and Genetic
A build is more than finding a particular Evolution. Balance your Attack, Movement and Ultimate slots with your Affinity choices and the strengths and drawbacks of your selected Genetic.
Mechanics to check first
- ●Evolutions include Passive, Attack, Ultimate and Movement types. You can equip two Attacks and one Ultimate at the same time.
- ●The five basic Affinities are Gregarious, Imposing, Predator, Prey and Trickster. The Affinities you acquire influence the Evolutions offered later.
- ●Carcinisation is a sixth Affinity found only on certain Evolutions. Repeated copies of the same Evolution do not add stacks; it trades higher food rarity for increased damage taken.
- ●A Genetic is a modifier chosen before a run. Unlock one by completing the objectives listed in the Codex.
Build directions and weaknesses
Predator / physical damage
Core: Focus on your main Attack and Physical upgrades to reduce the time spent fighting at close range.
Add: A Movement slot, HP or resistance, and a secondary attack for enemies you cannot safely approach.
Weakness: Making your hitbox too large can make dodging difficult.
Gregarious / allies
Core: Build up charm- and ally-related Evolutions within the same Affinity.
Add: Movement to keep yourself alive and an attack for situations where your allies cannot do the job.
Weakness: The early stages before you have recruited useful allies.
Imposing / close-range durability
Core: Use HP, Plating and close-range effects to fight while allowing for some contact.
Add: Damage that keeps pace with your size and damage taken, plus Movement for an emergency escape.
Weakness: Stacking durability alone makes food and bosses take longer to deal with.
Prey / Trickster / mobility and abilities
Core: Use movement and Ability to avoid dangerous contact while cycling your cooldowns.
Add: Single-target damage and efficient food collection and progression.
Weakness: Mixing too many directions spreads your Affinities out and reduces the chance of seeing the Evolutions you need again.
Decision order during a run
- 1Before the run, read the Genetic’s benefits and penalties and choose one role you need to cover.
- 2Use the early Evolutions to settle on two main Affinities. Fill the minimum Attack, Movement and survival roles.
- 3Compare the value of taking another copy of an Evolution against adding a new role to your build.
- 4Take Carcinisation only when you can afford its accumulating increase in damage taken.
FAQ
Which build is the only consistent way to clear Pressure 20?
Official build-specific win rates have not been published, and we have not verified a single exclusive option. Choose your main Affinities and survival tools according to your Genetic and early Evolutions.
Does taking the same Evolution again increase Carcinisation?
Repeated copies of the same Evolution do not add stacks. It increases when you take a different Evolution that has Carcinisation.
