Show / hide details
Enable or disable each Idol at the Shrine. Do not force all of them on during unfamiliar areas or Bastion defense.
| Idol | Enemy effect | Acquisition |
|---|---|---|
| Pyth | Faster movement and attacks | Shrine in Pyth Orchard. |
| Acobi | Drops explosives on death | Build the Shrine in the Bastion. |
| Hense | Increased attack damage | Lost-and-Found, 250 Fragments. |
| Jevel | Harder to damage | Lost-and-Found, 100 Fragments. |
| Micia | Regenerates health | Upgrade to the True Shrine. |
| Garmuth | May deflect attacks | Upgrade to the True Shrine. |
| Yudrig | Deals contact damage | True Shrine and True Lost-and-Found; 150 Fragments. |
| Lemaign | Attacks slow you | True Shrine and True Lost-and-Found; 300 Fragments. |
| Roathus | Does not drop health or black tonics | Shrine in NG+. |
| Olak | May evade attacks | Shrine in NG+. |
Pyth, Hense, Garmuth, Roathus and Olak each increase experience and Fragments by 10%; the other five each add 5%. Combinations can substantially change the difficulty.
Who Knows Where: four entrances

These repeatable combat sequences also let you practice unfamiliar weapons.
| Dream | Entrance item | Availability | Preparation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kid | Zulf's Pipe | After Cinderbrick Fort | Practice shield use and eliminating enemy sources against early-area enemies. |
| Singer | Zia's Stockpot | After Point Lemaign | Bring fire or armor penetration against armored wildlife. |
| Survivor | Kid's Bedroll | After Zulten's Hollow | Do not rely exclusively on slow-charging weapons against fast Ura. |
| Stranger | History Books | After Workmen Ward in NG+ | Combine area attacks and healing for a long sequence. |
Steam has conditions for completing each dream with at least five Idols and with ten. Attempt ten after obtaining the additional NG+ Idols. This is not a complete wave-by-wave spawn list.

These are purpose-based suggestions, not a single mandatory build.
| Purpose | Combination | Caution |
|---|---|---|
| Enemies that close their armor | Fire Bellows + a ranged single-shot weapon | Do not lose track of incoming melee attacks while using fire. |
| Crowded dreams | Galleon Mortar + a fast secondary weapon | The no-self-damage upgrade reduces close-range accidents. |
| No-tonic-drop Idol | Leechade + a weapon that lands repeated hits | Healing through attacks comes with reduced health-tonic effectiveness. |
| Shield challenges | Lunkhead Liqueur + Cinderbrick Stout | Support counter damage and movement while blocking. |
| NG+ damage | Cham-Pain + Hearty Punch | Compensates for reduced recovery chances; uses two Spirit slots. |

Unlocked by completing a normal playthrough; restart the story with equipment and progression.
- Weapons, Idols, Spirits, Fragments and experience carry over. Story progress and access to challenges must be advanced again.
- Choose the order of building facilities and use their True functions. Shard upgrades instead provide Fragments.
- Check Roathus and Olak at the Shrine, Doomshine and Cham-Pain at the Distillery, and Gel Canister at the Arsenal.
- Check the fourth dream entrance after Workmen Ward. Prepare equipment and healing before ten-Idol attempts.
If you only want to inspect another ending, check the Continue save position before starting NG+.
