When orb powers become available

Show / hide details

Finding an orb and unlocking its power are separate. Defeat its world’s guardian and return outside to use the corresponding power.

ColorUnlocked powerCommon obstacle
OrangeReveals nearby invisible crystal pathsTo transport another orb, put it inside orange and carry orange.
GreenSwitches matching mist pillars and platforms between solid and mist statesSwitching a pillar again changes its state; plan your descent too.
PurpleRetrieves an orb through a purple socketLeave it on a pedestal to open a gate, then retrieve it from the far-side socket.
WhiteFires from white shooting points or turrets to activate black crystalsYou may need reflection walls to delay a shot or send it into a world.

Nested-world puzzles continue after white shooting is unlocked. Bringing one color’s power into another world matters late in the game.

Carry multiple worlds inside one orb

Show / hide details

Leave green inside orange, exit, and carry orange to transport both. Outside, the power you can use first is the power of the orb you are holding.

  1. Put the destination orb on a dome entrance and enter while carrying the other orb.
  2. Leave the carried orb on an internal pedestal, then exit.
  3. Carry the outer orb to a new entrance.
  4. Re-enter at the destination and retrieve the orb inside.
MechanismCheck
Narrow barrierYou may pass without an orb but not while carrying one; use pipes, moving platforms or world transitions.
Exit circleThe last exit used in that world determines where you re-enter.
Companion droneUse it to remove barriers. Break its shell to free it if a sticky device traps it.
Orb-carrying robotIt follows while loaded and stops when the orb is removed. Use it as a weight or power carrier.

Late doors create connections beyond a simple outer-to-inner hierarchy. Record the last exit and where you left each orb, not just its color.
