A PlayStation 2 dungeon RPG in the Wizardry tradition. Prepare your party, coordinate its actions, explore the labyrinth and manage traps and difficult encounters.
English translation of the existing Japanese guide. Japanese-release names and mechanics are retained; this is not a new gameplay verification or a claim of complete coverage.
Early Game
A Safer Starting Party
- ・Start from a baseline of 2 frontliners, 1 thief, 1 priest, and 1 magic user
- ・Keep money for appraisal while exploring
- ・Always carry a return item
Midgame
Establish Floor-Specific Countermeasures
- ・Prioritize leveling your trap-disarming character
- ・Switch resistance equipment to suit enemy types
- ・Stabilize income through short trips rather than long expeditions
Late Game
Prepare to Withstand High-Damage Enemies
- ・Prepare 2 sources of party-wide healing
- ・Maintain a stock of revival options
- ・Readjust accuracy and resistances before bosses
Problem: Traps wipe out the party
Cause: The trap-disarmer is underdeveloped
Solution: Prioritize thief-type development and leave dangerous doors until disarm success improves
Problem: Cannot continue exploring after running out of MP
Cause: Spending too long on 1 descent
Solution: From the middle floors onward, return after short trips and progress around resupplying
Problem: A boss one-shots the frontline
Cause: Insufficient resistance equipment and defensive buffs
Solution: Match elemental resistances and make an opening defensive buff a standard action
🗺️ Exploring Karman's Labyrinth Floor by Floor
On early Karman's Labyrinth floors, prioritize extending the area you can safely travel out and back through. Return frequently to develop levels and equipment before enemies become tougher. Explore branches one at a time, fill the map, and remember doors and dead ends. Decide a retreat threshold before healing runs out. Establish front/back positioning early so Allied Actions are easier to use.

Character creation offers 5 races—Human, Dwarf, Elf, Gnome, and Hobbit—with different stat tendencies. Classes include Fighter, Thief, Mage, Priest, Bishop, Knight, Samurai, and Ninja, plus this game's Alchemist, who handles materials, and Gizoku, a stealing specialist. Alignment is Good, Neutral, or Evil and affects class access and class changes. Rather than seeking perfection immediately, build complementary front/back roles.

Give frontliners defensive, durable equipment and backliners lighter gear that does not obstruct casting or actions. Class restrictions determine who can use each weapon or armor, so check compatibility before assigning finds. Some items require appraisal; access to identification helps avoid wasting them. An Alchemist can synthesize magic stones inside the dungeon, a distinctive way to expand your options during a descent.
