Bealphareth — what should I check first in Core systems?
Bealphareth is an isometric action RPG. Judge spacing from the angled overhead view and fight with traps as well as direct attacks. When outnumbered, lure enemies into traps to thin them out; switch between these methods according to the situation.

1. The intended companion's affinity is not increasing.
Cause: You are not completing missions and key events together with that companion.
Solution: Bring the person you are focusing on, complete missions together, and advance their specific key events.
2. Enemies overwhelm you and prevent progress.
Cause: You are handling several enemies using direct attacks alone.
Solution: Set traps in passages or entrances, lure enemies in, and switch to direct attacks after reducing their numbers.
3. You do not reach the ending you expected.
Cause: You have not accounted for how companionship and accumulated affinity influence the conclusion.
Solution: The game has 26 endings. Focus affinity on your chosen companion and keep separate saves with the late-game choices in mind.

The novice adventurers' inn contains 13 male and female companions who join through conversation. At most 2 can accompany you, and you can freely swap them outside the ruins. Your choice affects both combat strength and affinity growth.

- ▸ Who accompanies you affects whose affinity rises.
Completing missions with companions raises affinity and influences the ending. Reaching the highest affinity is said to require completing that companion's key event together, so keep your intended partner in mind. Choosing whom to build a bond with is more reliable than proceeding without a plan.
